Montaña Roja — the Red Mountain — rises dramatically from the southern tip of Lanzarote, its volcanic flanks sheltering a stretch of coastline that has drawn European property owners since the early 1980s. The area's unique microclimate, shaped by the trade winds and the thermal mass of the volcanic rock, produces some of the most agreeable conditions on the island.
The communities that developed around Playa Blanca and the Montaña Roja natural reserve were among the first planned residential developments on Lanzarote designed specifically for international owners. Many were conceived by developers who understood the need for shared facilities, professional administration, and a standard of maintenance that would hold its value across decades.
Today the area remains one of the most sought-after locations on the island. The village of Playa Blanca has grown from a small fishing community into a well-served resort town, while retaining much of the character that made it attractive in the first place.
The communities we administer here share a common thread: owners who care deeply about their properties, their neighbours, and the long-term health of their community. Our role is to give them the tools and information they need to do that well — in English, German, Norwegian, and Spanish.
The southernmost tip of Lanzarote enjoys some of the most stable weather in Europe — over 300 days of sunshine per year, temperatures rarely below 18°C in winter, and the constant gentle influence of the Atlantic trade winds.
